Newborn & sibling photos can be a challenge, but that’s also what makes them the most rewarding! In the case of Jovi & Knox, they were both incredibly sweet and so easy to photograph. I got to photograph Knox (Jovi’s big brother) almost 4 years ago, and it was so fun to get to see him again! He was “all grown up” and SO well behaved! Enjoy beautiful little Jovi and her perfect cheeks…she is so adorable!
I got to photograph this sweet boy’s first year before I moved to California, and I’m updating this blog post to reflect that I’m now a Newborn Photographer in Menifee CA.

When is the best time for newborn photos? I’ve found that 5-10 days old is ideal, but if you’ve missed this window, contact me anyway! Babies under 2 weeks old tend to be more sleepy for photos, and their skin tends to be a little more calm. After birth, baby’s skin tends to break out, peel, or become red or jaundiced…but that’s ok! Experienced newborn photographers can work their editing magic to make your perfect baby’s skin look smoothe and perfect (unless you’d like to request having your baby’s skin left as is, of course).
Preemies often need a little more time before coming in for photos too. I’ve photographed newborns up to 8 weeks old, and although newborn photos under 2 weeks is recommended, it’s definitely not a deal-breaker.
Now on to showing off little Ava…what a beautiful baby! Her momma came with lots of fun ideas in mind for her newborn photos, and it was such a blast to get to capture them for her. And what a beautiful momma she is too! It’s always tough to come up with adequate words when the photos do a much better job to speak for themselves…

Being a newborn photographer is the BEST, especially when I get to work with cuties like Lawson. He has the cutest smiles, chubbiest cheeks, and adorable pouty lips! I think he set a record for the most sleepy newborn smiles I’ve ever photographed. Newborn photos are extra fun with such a squishy sweet boy like him!

I’m playing catch-up whenever I can during this “break”. Of course, I use that term loosely — having kids home 24/7 keeps me plenty busy with their schoolwork, meals, cleaning, and repeat….all day every day. 😉 I’m still amazed at what good sports they are about being stuck at home for weeks.
