When should I book?
For a newborn session, contact me any time after your 1st trimester. For all other sessions, please contact me any time — the sooner the better.

When is the best age for newborn photos?
5-10 days old is ideal. I always try to schedule newborn photos before baby is 2 weeks old, but newborn photos can work up to 6 weeks old.

How long have you been photographing babies?
I started in 2008, and have been photographing newborns, babies, and children full time since 2015.

What is your style with baby posing?
My style is more baby-led posing, meaning I have a more natural approach to newborn photos and try not to overly pose them. Every newborn photographer is different, so please take a look around at my galleries or ask me about anything specific to make sure I’m the right fit for what you’re hoping for your baby’s photos!

Can we have family, parent, or sibling photos taken with the baby?
Yes! Parents and/or siblings can be included for an extra $10 per person. I recommend a Classic Session to include family shots (parents and/or siblings). Parent and/or sibling photos will be quick & simple in shorter sessions.

What should we wear for family shots?
When you book a newborn session, I’ll send you my Newborn Information Guide to help you prepare for your session. This includes tips on what to wear. I always recommend a NEUTRAL palette of colors. Neutral is timeless and photographs beautifully. All-white is always gorgeous in baby photos. Grays or muted earth tones or pastels are always lovely too. If you have any questions about outfits, please ask!

Do you have props and wraps, etc?
Oh yes! I have A LOT of stuff to choose from. If there is anything in particular you’re thinking about, please let me know!

Can I bring my own items to use in photos?
It’s completely optional, but I’m always happy to incorporate personal items.

What precautions do you take to make sure my baby is safe?
Your baby’s health and safety is my utmost priority. My studio is closed off to the rest of the house and thoroughly cleaned after each session. I’m fully vaccinated and I reschedule sessions if I become ill. I also ask clients to reschedule if anyone is sick.

Does your studio have a restroom?
Yes, my studio has it’s own private restroom for clients to use.

Do you offer Cake Smash sessions?
I sure do! Cake smashes can be included in any one year session. I have a lot of decor for cake smash sessions, and you’re always welcome to bring your own decor. You will need to provide the cake. I can provide a list of possible places to get one if you need. I also have a couple of baby tubs that we can use for cute tub shots after the cake smash if you’d like!

Do you offer maternity sessions?
I do offer maternity sessions (in-studio only) on a limited basis. Please contact me for details.

Do you offer in-home sessions?
I prefer to use studio lighting for consistent, crisp lighting, so I typically only offer sessions in my home studio. This also allows clients full access to all of my props, wraps, baby headbands and hats/bonnets, etc. However, if you would like an in-home lifestyle session and live close to Menifee, please contact me to discuss details.

Do you offer outdoor sessions?
I used to offer outdoor sessions, but I’m exclusively in-studio now.

What if I don’t want my photos posted online?
After every session, I have parents fill out my Client Permission form to indicate whether they are ok with having photos from their session posted online. This is entirely up to each client and I respect whatever your wishes are.

Is tax included?
Yes! Tax is already included in all listed costs.
