Based on how adorable her big brother was as a newborn, I knew this baby girl would be gorgeous…and oh my, she didn’t disappoint! What an absolutely beautiful baby. I had such a blast getting to photograph her and work with her sweet family again!

Leo was the first baby in my brand new studio, and he made it absolutely perfect! He was so cooperative and adorable and I had such a blast with his session. Incorporating some fall shots was extra fun, and the lion outfit his momma brought was amazing. I got to photograph his big sister’s newborn photos a couple years before, and she had the most adorable lips and chubby cheeks too!
I’m not sure if these adorable boys are identical, but they sure looked like it! I love being a newborn photographer, and it’s truly double the fun to be a newborn twin photographer. It was so fun to work with this family again after I got to photograph their gorgeous baby girl a few years ago. Seriously though…twin newborn photos are SO MUCH FUN! Newborn & sibling photos can be a challenge, but that’s also what makes them the most rewarding! In the case of Jovi & Knox, they were both incredibly sweet and so easy to photograph. I got to photograph Knox (Jovi’s big brother) almost 4 years ago, and it was so fun to get to see him again! He was “all grown up” and SO well behaved! Light and airy newborn photos are classic, timeless, and always my favorite. I had to remind myself about 1,000 times during Tatum’s newborn session and while editing that she wasn’t her big sister Wren, because oh my goodness, they looked so much alike as newborns! It was so fun to see Wren as a big sister too. The cheeks and lips on these adorable girls are THE BEST!
Are newborn photos worth it? I may be biased, but speaking as a mom, newborn photos are absolutely 100% worth it! So much goes on behind the scenes with a newborn photographer. And it’s not just top quality photography equipment, though of course it makes all the difference in creating top quality images. Newborn photographers including myself often have endless collections of props, swaddles, headbands, and more, not to mention all of the training involved with photography and newborn safety and posing. Behind the scenes, photographers spend countless hours editing your very best photos. Many newborn photographers also help in selecting and printing your photos so you have top quality keepsakes to display (don’t just leave those sweet photos on a computer or online! Print and display them where you can enjoy them every day!).
The newborn phase can be completely exhausting, and it’s suddenly gone in a blink. A newborn photographer is there to capture your sweet new baby in their most precious and fleeting phase of life. Newborn photography is also an art form, and the subject is your greatest work of art: your beautiful baby.
