If this tiny newborn on her daddy’s firefighter jacket looks familiar, it’s because I got to capture the same shot at her big sister’s newborn photoshoot just under 2 years ago. Getting to watch my little newborn clients grow and welcome a new sibling is one of my absolute favorite things about what I do! These beautiful sisters were both total dreams for their sweet photoshoot.

Incorporating personal touches into sessions makes them so much more meaningful, and it was an added privilege to honor a firefighter especially after the terrible fires California has experienced this year.

After previously photographing this wonderful family for their second daughter’s newborn session and then her 1st birthday photoshoot, I was thrilled to document the newest addition to their family – an adorable baby boy who arrived just before Christmas. Scroll down to view their handsome baby boy’s newborn photos! I made sure to get some portraits of the girls for their January birthdays too.

It’s always so fun to see a family’s dynamic grow and change after welcoming a new little one. They were obviously so excited to have a baby boy after their two adorable girls, and dad brought some special props for his son. This little guy is as cute as can be and so loved!

Welcoming a newborn is a magical time filled with fleeting moments that pass in the blink of an eye. I first met this cute family a couple years ago for their first son’s newborn photoshoot. I was so happy to see them again after they welcomed a second baby boy to their family, and it was so fun to see how alike big brother and his newborn brother look!

Newborn photos are such a special way to document life’s most precious chapters – watching families grow as they welcome a new little family member. Witnessing and capturing these moments is truly a privilege. This sweet boy was born before Thanksgiving and I’m finally getting caught up on posting all the sessions I did around the holidays — I’m sure he has grown so much already!

I loved meeting baby J and his family for their newborn session, and I loved his spiky hair! It’s always extra fun when older kids get to welcome a new baby. Both of baby J’s parents are bartenders, so they brought some fun little props to make their session personalized and unique.

I had the pleasure of meeting this cute family during their firstborn’s newborn session, and again for his first birthday photoshoot. I was thrilled when they reached out for their second baby boy’s newborn photos!
Sweet baby Wesley arrived a couple of months early and spent some time in the NICU. Thankfully, he was right on track for his newborn photos when he visited just a week before his actual due date. During our session, he managed to sneak in plenty of adorable smiles!
Capturing preemie photos is always special for me. These sessions not only celebrate the unique journey of these little ones but also provide families with cherished memories during a time that can be both challenging and joyful. Each smile from baby W reminded me of the resilience and strength preemies have in their early moments of life!

Clients can select from three newborn session options tailored to accommodate various preferences, and ensure that every family can find the perfect fit for their newborn photography needs:

Full Newborn Session: This comprehensive session takes place in my home studio in Menifee and lasts about 2-3 hours. It offers multiple setups and poses, personalized to your preferences, including colors and props. Family, parent, and sibling photos can be included for no extra cost.
Mini Newborn Session: A short and sweet session lasting up to 1 hour, focusing solely on the baby. This option is perfect for those who want quick yet beautiful photos of their newborn.
Lifestyle Newborn Session: This session lasts up to 1 hour and takes place in the comfort of your own home, any time within the first 8 weeks of your baby’s life (between 2 days to 2 weeks old is ideal). It is a beautiful way to document those precious bonding moments with your new family member. Parents, siblings and pets are welcome and encouraged to join in the photos!

Baby Cody and big brother Ryan

After moving to Southern California a few years ago, I took a break for almost a year and finally opened my studio again after settling into our new home. One of my very first new clients here was big brother Ryan when he was just a newborn himself! When he came back this time around, he had just turned two years old and welcomed his new baby brother, Cody. Ryan was such a champ for family and sibling photos. I didn’t even have to coax him, he was so happy to join in for the photos and snuggle his baby brother with so much love.

I never quite know how things will go when a two year old is part of the photoshoot (anyone who has ever met a toddler knows that they usually have their own ideas, haha!), but I couldn’t have asked for things to go more smoothly. I absolutely loved this newborn photoshoot and I hope you will too! Baby Cody looks so much like his big brother, and he was such a dream for his newborn session.

It’s a boy for this beautiful family, and Joey’s newborn pics were such a blast to capture! Joey and his big sister Melody cooperated so well for some of my favorite sibling photos ever. Melody was so sweet during her baby brother’s newborn session!

Chidike’s In-Home Newborn Photos

I had the pleasure of capturing adorable Chidike’s in-home newborn photos in his family’s beautiful newly built house in Hemet, California. Chidike was just 7 days old at the time of his photoshoot, and he was absolutely perfect. While I primarily do most of my sessions in my home studio in Menifee, I also offer in-home sessions upon request, with additional travel fees depending on the distance.

D’Angelo 4 days new | Perris Newborn Photographer

March 29, 2024

Sweet little D’Angelo was just 4 days new at the time of his newborn photoshoot. As you might notice, there’s a certain pose in his gallery I don’t usually do because I normally do more baby-led posing, while this pose is a composite. His momma specifically requested it, and she knew how to assist me in capturing it safely, and I must say it turned out so adorable! I also loved the blues and greens his momma requested, which changed things up from my typical white and neutral backgrounds. The bold navy was an especially nice color for D’Angelo! His daddy was wearing a Dodgers jersey to the session and I knew it would be a favorite color for them. D’Angelo did so well and I laughed when he suddenly opened his eyes and looked at me like “ok I’ve been really good, are you done yet?!”.
